| Alumimium Foil Separator - General Description : |
The Aluminium Foil separator machine is used to open/separate the paired foils
into two rolls of maximum 600 mm diameter. A side slitting
system is also to provided with the machine for final material
at re-winder. The un-winder stand for particular length of the
spool have two side pedestals, mounted on base plate grouted
on the floor. Lateral movement of the pedestals is through
operation of hydro motors. If needed, a pit can be incorporated
for facilitating mounting of coil car. Hydraulic control is
through hydro motors for clamping of the spools & centering
of the coils.
The loading of the un-winder coil is generally done with the
help of overhead crane. This process does not cause any loss in
production since running time for light gauge foil (9 micron to
40 micron) with 1200 mm outside diameter is quite long.
Maximum line speed of the Aluminium Foil separator is 400 mtr./minute.
Therefore generally un-winder coil handling equipment is not
provided. However as an option, hydro motor controlled coil
car can be provided.
Siemens make Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is provided
for the digital DC drives and auxiliary functions. |

| Web guiding unit |
This unit ensures that the motorized unwind reel is guided in
one operation. It will be designed for accuracy of + /- 100 mm. |

| Draw rollers |
This unit will consist of one steel roller & one rubber roller
arranged to give “S” wrap having 80 shore hardness. One
hydraulically operated nip unit to be provided. The nip units
will have independent dc drives. |

| Slitting Unit |
This unit will consist of top cutter shaft with blade holders to
be controlled manually with a provision for quick and easy
change from one slit width to another. The drive to this unit
will be common with the draw roller unit. |

| Trimming Unit |
It will consist of ac blower having its control on the operator
control unit with two flexible pipes to be provided on both
sides of the material width and one trim collection unit. The
maximum trim width will be 15 mm. |

| Rewind roll unit |
It is of differential winding type. The rewinding will take place
in controlled condition through individual dc drive. The
spacers of different sizes will be provided along with the
machine. The maximum diameter of the roll to be rewound
and new roll to be spliced in, is 600 mm. The shaft fixing
arrangement facilitates quick fixing and removal of the
rewind reels. |

| Hydraulic unit |
A high resolution hydraulic unit and proportionate control
valve are supplied with the machine to control the roll with
counter balance facilities, clamping & de-clamping of de-coiler
spool as well as re-coiler spool, main nip function & braking
system of welding support roll. |

| Rollers |
All rollers of the machine is made from aluminium alloy tube
duly machined, super finished, hard anodized and with pre &
post dynamically balancing for finger touch effect for zero
impact on light gauge foil. |

| Main frame work |
All side walls and unwind traveling unit are made of fabricated
MS plates (box fabrication to avoid vibration). The base frame
for the unit is a complete fabrication with heavy duty prime
material. All fabricated materials will be stress relieved after
pre machining / fabrication and final machining is done
thereafter. |

| Special Features:-Aluminium Foil Separator |
All hydraulic cylinders and power packs are housed in the
machine above ground level. Therefore there is no need to have
any pit arrangement.
Transmission is through timer belts.
Suitable separating angles to prevent web flutter on the rewind
side.
Slitting head is located close to the middle drive rolls to
prevent web weaving.
All idler rolls are of anodized aluminium and dynamically
balanced. Ironing rolls are PU coated.
All motors are generally L&T make and drives are either
Siemens or Parker make. PLCs are of Siemens make.
Web guide units are of BST or E+L make ensuring trouble free
performance.
The trimmed edges of the re-wound coils are smooth and
without any edge tear. The surface of each layer is crease free.
Build up is free of telescoping and creasing. Side weaving
does not exceed 0.5 mm.
The good quality and defect free production is subject to entry
material quality and availability of skilled & experienced
manpower. |
